Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
The younger guard accepts Cyris' hand graciously. "Thanks. Hey, that guy who held me up... I told him I wouldn't tell anyone what happened... Obviously, I kinda lied to him. You... don't think he'll know, right?" The younger guard is pretty worried. "Anyway, I guess we'd better hurry and follow MacDork up there. He can get pretty carried away and leave others behind... a lot."
The barkeep at Klypton's a pretty cool guy. He actually seems to recognize Tsuteto from the wanted papers, but he greets the drakin warmly nonetheless.
"Well, they say the Cave of Lost Souls has a sort of power within. No one is sure of what that power would do for someone, or what it even is, exactly. Though it has been made against the law to go inside, many people often try sneaking in regardless of the danger, and ignoring the fact that they'll be a wanted man when they come out. As legend goes, no man that has gone inside has ever come out, but that's less then true. I've seen guards calmly walk out with their prisoners in chains. I do know that there is a point in the cave that the guards will refuse to go past. I suppose they figure no man will return from THAT point, and as of yet, they are right on that logic.
There are many rumors as to the true nature of that cave. Some think it is a thieves' hideout, some devout think that is where you go when you go Nowhere, and others think it truly is a source of power. It truly is a mystery. That's all the information I have for you.
Anyway, you may want to consider staying here a while, Tsuteto Dracman. The guards are all patrolling the streets, looking out for whoever set that weapons shop on fire. Once the guards are given permission to search inside buildings, I'll show you the secret tunnel in the back that leads you right outside the back door of the church. Sound good?"

Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
Power, clans, or a destination. That was all. Nonetheless, one thing was for sure: there was something special, something secret, a wall that was built behind the guise of the guards. Why would guards go in to arrest people for a cave? Furthermore, why was there a certain point that they would not journey beyond? It wasn't resolving clearly, which, of course, spoke to the mystery of the cave. To Tsuteto, it was more of a type of conspiracy, with the guards being tipped well to be quiet, and unknowing.
Chairs were rustling, the overall tone of the bar was quieter than it should be. Though every bar had its rules in regards to their patrons, the alcohol that everyone consumed seemed to believe it was always beyond the rules. "Always short on time," Tsuteto whispered, pushing the ale he had received aside. He ordered it as a courtesy, and to remain as inconspicuous as possible, but with how he had to dress, it obviously didn't last long. Ever. "We both know a scene isn't want to be made in your establishment, either by the guards or by your patrons. Can you tell me anything about the intruder that's inside it that's wanted currently?" Despite his request to get the information, the drakin felt it'd be cut short anyway due to the sound of a flicking knife or two, as well as the occasional knuckle crack. "Idiots," he thought, knowing their efforts would only result the same as everyone else: unconsciousness.

Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
Matz, Cyris, and the young guard all ran through the forest from with they came. The sprinted through some bushes. "I see it, the town were no more then a couple minutes away" Cyris said running as fast as he could while trying to keep matz on his shoulder. The young guard looked up and saw the town. He was relieved that he would soon be out of this forest. "I know someone who lives here, she could give me and matz a place to stay tonight" said Cyris still running.
Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
The bartender looks behind Tsuteto's shoulder, seeing the angry patrons coming together for a group attack. "I can't exactly tell you what I know when you're in the middle of combat. Take these guys out, then I'll disperse with the information." The bartender moved further behind the bar as he said this.
One drunken patron attempts to sneak up behind Tsuteto while the others watch, but he fails. He shambles forward, his loud footsteps easy to hear. He then lifts his beer bottle to attack, but only hits a stool... the stool two seats away from Tsuteto. His chances of victory are extremely slim right now.
The young guard was a little surprised when he heard Cyris' statement. "So you folks are from out of town? Heh, that'd explain why you went into the forest in the first place! The townspeople know the forest is dangerous, so no one goes in. I guess outsiders wouldn't exactly know that." The guard was relieved for a moment, then saw smoke billowing up from inside the town. "Holy shit! Did that guy do all this?! Man, when I get my hands on him... Oh, you two can go ahead and find that girl of yours, I've gotta join the other guards and search the town!" With that, the young guard ran into the city, leaving Cyris to carry Matz by himself.
SUMMARY SO FAR.
AKA, the tl;dr version.
Cyris defeats a beast in the forest with the help of Matz. Tsuteto, a drakin, watches from the trees. Two guards run in, since it's forbidden to be in the forest (due to all the danger), and Matz and Cyris are escorted out by one guard. The other guard is held up by Tsuteto and is forced to give information about the Cave of Lost Souls. Tsuteto flies to Klypton, the nearby town, and proceeds to get into a bar fight when seeking information on the cave. Cyris carries Matz out of the forest since Matz suffers from frequent comas, and the two are currently outside the town. The town is in a panic since Goku set fire to the weapons shop, but he was eaten immediately after doing so. And died. And random notice, the slaverdavernavertaverclaverravershaverbaverfaverMcjaversaurus is technically still alive. No one decided to finish it off. But that's mostly irrelevent.
- Spoiler:
- ((I'm going to be throwing out some numbers for whether or not the mooks hit you, and how much damage they do if they succeed. Don't worry too much about the numbers right now, just treat it normal RP style and all. This is really more of a test for myself, see how I should do it. All done with 20 sided dice... Chance of sneaking: DC:10, rolls 11(-10 for drunkeness) for 1. Sneak failed. Chance of hitting: DC:10, rolls 8(-10 for drunkeness) for -2. Attack easily failed.))

Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
The glass shattered on the bar stool, the man grumbling something, probably cursing the fact that Tsuteto "moved" out of the way. Standing up, Tsuteto removed the cover from his head, letting his silver hair shine from the artificial light provided within the building, and a little from the sunlight that was able to creep in. The attacking man looked at Tsuteto, grinning stupidly, as if he would get that money. "Fool," was the only word to the patron, as the drakin's foot was, in a quick instant, from the ground aiming for the man's gut, enough force behind it to send him across the room, possibly even through the wall.
Tsuteto also didn't miss a beat from another two that were charging at him. Grabbing stool nearest to him, he spun around, lifting it up, and catapulting it those two, the wood twirling in the air, the speed of it's rotating giving the illusion that it was one giant wood disc. There was no need for Tsuteto to draw his weapon for this little brawl, just to end it quickly before the guards arrived.
((OOC: Understandable. I'll do my best to leave as much room for you to do what you need to do correctly.))

Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
- Spoiler:
- I seriously doubt that first guy's gonna dodge your kick, and with the mechanics I'm running and my thoughts on the situation, it'll only be possible if he rolls a natural 20. That means insta-success, and a natural 1 means insta-fail as well. So, rolling... 12. He is hit.
The other two are less drunk, but still have a bad chance of dodging. So DC'll be 12, with a -5 modifier for drunkenness. First guy rolls... 18-5, 13. He dodges. Second guy rolls... 10-5, 5. You got him. The one who dodged the stool will try to hit Tsuteto with DC at 12 again. He rolls... a natural 1. Ultima fail in the works!
The top-stool spins wildly toward two drunkards that were planning a quick ambush. One dude has enough sense to sidestep to his right, while the other guy learns that such flying objects were not made for headbutting. He is knocked back with severe damage, but is still in the fight (just not necessarily in the best condition for it).
The one who was lucky enough to dodge came charging towards Tsuteto, but then hit his unlucky streak. He managed to trip on his own feet, hit his head on the barstool nearest Tsuteto, then have Tsuteto's drink fall over the counter and squarely on his face. While that's embarrassing enough, the glass mug shatters on impact, scarring his face. He is unconscious. Thanks for playing, random patron!
Three more fellows charge in, one on the left and two on the right. The three are as drunk as the last two who attacked (AKA, -5 penalty). Your turn to cause more havoc.

Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
Cyris and Matz finally reached the entrance in the city. The sight was chaos. Guards rushing past left and right, a big building was in flames leaving thick smoke in the air. People were freaking out, either watching the spectacle or running away in panic. Cyris didn't seem to focus on the fire rather where he could find her. "Knowing her she is probably by the flames helping out, or pushing someone in" said Cyris in a joking matter. He looked at Matz for a reaction. Matz only stood there silent with some drool starting to form at the base of his mouth. Cyris was disappointed his joke went unnoticed and decided to ignore it and walk towards the fire.
Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
As Cyris walks towards the fire, his little joke bites him in the butt. In other words, he sees someone in a dark cloak pushing people in the fire. Way to go, joking about people horribly burning to death. But anyway, if the person in the cloak notices you, they aren't reacting to your presence nearby.

Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
Cyris took notice the cloaked figure, but decided to do nothing about it and not get involved. Meanwhile there were many guards and other hero's trying to put out the fire pouring buckets of water which didn't seem to be doing much use. Upon his gaze he heard someone yell some words that were not of this earth, like they were part of a spell. Cyris knew that was her. He made his way through the volunteers and found her standing next to the fire. Cyris waved and shouted "Hey!" She failed to hear him. The fire was blocking her hearing. Cyris walked up to her and gently put his hand on her shoulder. Then instantly she turned and around and did a palm strike to his chest knocking the air out of him and making him fall back on the ashy floor. Struggling for breath he managed to cough a little and regain his sight. She pulled back her hand back "Oh, so sorry..... brother?" she asked. Cyris still didn't say a word from his lack of air. "You know you shouldn't sneak up on me like that" said Cyris's sister Ariel.
Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
Tsuteto gave a small sigh. You would think, even in drunkenness, people would realize when a battle would be bad for them. Guess not. He would have to be a bit more serious for this it seemed.
With the two on his right approaching fast, he decided to take them down first. When they were close enough in range, he didn't give them a chance to strike, but instead spun on the spot, raising his leg just after clearing the bar table, to heel kick one in the head, that person crashing into the other. In the off chance that one of them would dodge though, his leg would come down and around, striking straight up for the chin of what would be, most likely, a crouched man.
After dealing with the two though, he would immediately draw his weapon from it's sheath, pointing it straight at the face of the remaining charger, as a warning to him and any others that might charge to not proceed. It wasn't just body language that would inform them though. Words, cold, dark, and with a hint of deadliness, seeped from his tongue, forming the sentence, "Cease your foolishness if you wish to see the light of day tomorrow." Nonetheless, it wasn't in him to kill a person. While he could speak with every intent to do so, providing the greatest sales pitch to follow through with his words, he wouldn't. The same would be here that, if the man would keep running, and therefore into Tsuteto's blade, the weapon would adjust last second, stabbing into the man's ball and socket joint of his arm, to deal a great deal of pain, but to let him still live, and return to his family.

Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
- Spoiler:
- ((I've already discussed this with Skarmflames, but here's my policy on multiple characters:
You can have multiple characters, but you can only be actively controlling one at a time. So, if Skarmflames is still planning the way he said earlier, then Cyris will stay behind while Ariel moves onward. Each player should only control one character, basically.
And random note, having our two active players split like this is somewhat odd to me. Eventually, I'd like Tsuteto and Cyris/Ariel to meet up. Sure, you can fight each other a bit if you like, but yeah. It's like I'm in two different RPs that are loosely connected. My idea would be for Cyris and Ariel to go to the bar, but after the combat is finished. 'Course, that's MY idea. You can screw me over and never actually meet up, but whatever. Just wanted to throw my ideas out there.
Also, I really don't have anything to add to skarmflames' situation. You can RP with yourself or whatever, the cloaked guy just ignores you. You're still a jerk for not helping people, that's a lowered reputation for you (the townspeople won't be as nice to Cyris as they would've been before).
Zoom, dice time! DC to dodge attack for 1st guy is... 12. He rolls 11-5=6, a solid blow. For 2nd guy to dodge his friend, DC 13. Rolling 5-5=0, domino effect.
3rd guy's chance to resist intimidation, DC is 10 (he gets +5 to roll, he's too drunk to really understand the danger). Rolling 9+5=14, he is unfazed by your actions. To dodge an unmoving sword, DC:7. Rolling 12-5=7, narrowly dodges. To attack with his fists without you dodging and such, DC:10. Rolling 11-5=6. He doesn't quite miss, but you can dodge or parry well enough.))
The man on the left is unfazed by Tsuteto's threatenings, and sidesteps the katana. He pulls back a fist and lets loose a punch headed straight for Tsuteto's stomach!

As Cyris and his sister Arial were greeting each other a fire beam was slowly crashing toward them. Arial didn't seem to notice and it took all the air Cyris had gatherd in the short amount of time to yell out "Look out!" Arial took notice and quickly got into a battle like stance. She muttered "paggosμπουνία"! Just then her fists were shrouded by a light blue glow and a white dense fog. She adjusted her position for the incoming danger. Pulling back one of her arms she took a step back to gather strength. Just as the beam was about to strike, she forced her arm forward at great speeds hitting the beam, dead on.
OOC)): Arial is green, while Cyris is red to stop confusion. For the definition of paggosμπουνία i'll define it. Its two greek words put together. Paggos = Ice, μπουνία = Fist. put them together and you get ice fist. thats how all of her magic will work. So teh did the ice punch work or not????

((Is it Ariel, or is it Arial? Also, nice job using greek words to name your spells.))
As Ariel's "paggosμπουνία" hits the pillar, smoke erupts from the contact. When the smoke cleared, the pillar was found a few feet away, harming no one in the process! How very fortunate for them.
Meanwhile, outside the bar, the guards began sweeping the area. One guard looked inside the bar, and saw a strange man in a cloak inside beating the stuffings out of a bunch of citizens...

The man found his fist enclosed around by the hand of Tsuteto's free one. "You were warned," Tsuteto said, grinning. Picking him up swiftly, the man was lifted of the ground, over the drakin's head, and back down crashing through the barstool and into the ground. With a twirl of his blade, and a quick sheath later, Tsuteto looked at the bar doors. There, standing in a very official uniform, were eyes staring at his. If the half-dragon's long silver hair didn't give away his identity to this man, then the jade green eyes did. Still, to keep from an instant reaction as much as possible, Tsuteto sat down at the barstool, giving a soft sigh. Pulling out a small container, he handed it to the bartender, saying, "My apologies, but could you fill this with water before I take my leave?"

- ((DC for man knocked aside by his friend to hit you is 8, since you aren't paying as much attention to him. Still -5 for drunkenness. Rolling 5-5=0, attack missed. Other man (hit with barstool) runs up and tries an attack with a stool leg. He is knocked back to his senses a bit, so only -2 penalty. DC for hitting is still 8. Rolling 8-2=6. You get to parry or dodge again. Next encounter, I'm definitely making the enemies tougher... and less drunk.
The man knocked over at your feet stands up and mutters the words "Ah'm not dun wit yew yet..." and throws a punch just left (your left) of your head. Meanwhile, the man you knocked over with the stool has recovered, broken off a leg of said stool, and charges you! He makes a violent swing towards your shoulder...

Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
The first man, who threw the punch, found his arm in Tsuteto's grasp once again. His right hand having reached over and grabbing the near missing attack, it immediately pulled the man in, causing the right side of the man's body to connect to the back of Tsuteto's left shoulder blade area, not to mention the gut being connected to Tsuteto's left elbow, followed by the man's face to the same arm's fist. Releasing the man's wrist, Tsuteto then turned around to face him, bringing his right fist back, cocking, then releasing with full force into the man's chest, to knock the wind out of him and keep him down for good.
It was right after that the the barstool leg was coming down full force at Tsuteto. It did not matter to Tsuteto though. This was a mere brawl, nothing like the fights he had been in in the past. He didn't bother moving his body. Instead, his tail unraveled itself from his leg, and around the other man's ankle. With a quick tug, it pulled the man's leg out from under him. As the man fell, it would be found by onlookers that Tsuteto's body had then snapped around, leg high in the air, for a crashing axe kick, one that would propel the man faster into the ground, thus also knocking the wind out of him.

OOC)): the decided to turn around and sleep good night! lol jk.
The flames were starting to go down thanks to many volunteers and knights putting bucket after bucket of water on it. The 3 of them, Ariel, Cyris, and Matz were all heading toward the bar. Ariel was covered in ashes but was quickly cleaned up by here handkerchief slung around her neck. Sweat formed around Cyris's and Ariel's forehead from the close incumber of flames. Matz remained in his still frame noting even reacting to the fire. "You know" said Cyris. I hardly know this guy, he just goes up and saves my life and then hits a coma!" "I couldn't leave him back there and all but still he's not my problem" Cyris said to Ariel. She didn't seem too surprise of her brothers near death experience. "Why did you leave the town you were in earlier?" asked Ariel. "Lets just say.... I'm not really welcome back there anymore" replied Cyris avoiding eye contact. "Not again" replied Ariel in a annoyed tone. Just then a guard came rushing past them yelling out "backup, I need backup! A high-class criminal is stationed in the bar!" They could all hear sounds coming from their destination. Glass breaking, men yelling, and bodies being thrown. "Oh great first the fire, and now this" Ariel complained. "In great Nowhere, what hell is being released into this city!?" "alright lets go in, You might want to leave him behind" said Ariel pointing at Matz. Cyris agreed and placed him leaning by a near by wall away from the chaos. The two of them proceeded to enter the bar.

Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
OOC)): Time to further complicate what's going on by adding yet another thing that's going on in a separate setting. Aww yeah.
Matz found himself completely knocked out, laying on his stomach, and slowly moved himself in an upright position. Sitting cross legged, he thought to himself "how long have I been out?" He looked around seeing that there was nothing but darkness in every direction. "Where am I?" Matz thought to himself. Just as if someone were standing right next to him, an old female voice spoke, "You're Everywhere. You could be here, you could be there, you could even be nowhere, but you're all three and more!" Matz was shocked. He had no idea where the voice came from or any idea whatsoever of what was going on. "Wh-what do you mean?" he asked. "Why my dear!" the ancient voice replied, "I already told you that! You're Everywhere!"
OOC)): Btw, Matz's body is still unconcious where you left him, that hasn't changed yet.

Re: A Role Playing game for the soul
((Skarm, seperate yer characters, or I will. Buahaha and all that.
Z'z, I don't know everything about this old lady or Everywhere, but if you're looking to create a deity, PM or something and we can get the details worked out.
That actually goes for EVERYONE. If you want something kinda crazy-esque or whatever, then PM me and we'll discuss.
But yeah, deity or not, Nowhere is intrigued about this old woman in Matz's... subconscious? Wherever he is.))
Nowhere was resting when it felt a strange disturbance in the world. It seemed as though some presence or creature was asking for a challenge, or a sort of rivalry. Nowhere was too lazy to investigate itself, deciding instead to send out a warrior.
Just outside Klypton, a strange man appeared, as if he came out of Nowhere...
